Can’t launch a Lycia app: error code (-994)

Problem

On attempt to launch a Lycia app, the following exception is thrown:


“The error code (-994) was received. Database driver could not be loaded.”

Solution

  1. Include the path of the driver in the PATH environment variable (env.properties, inet.env, environ.bat)
  2. Include the path to the Informix SDK Client binaries folder in the PATH environment variable in inet.env: PATH=C:\Program Files\Informix Client-SDK\bin;$PATH
